For the final costume for Masha, Franzesca and I pleated 8 yards of grey wool, basted it, starched it, then fit it to the actress’s waist before adding a waistband.
I also crocheted the mantle for the character of Olga. Evoking the style of Irish crochet, I crocheted flower shapes out of perle cotton, mounting the flowers on netting and then chaining them together.
